Second pipe-bomb found in Crumlin

A second pipe bomb in Crumlin south Dublin has been disarmed, the Army Bomb Disposal said this morning.

A Defence Forces statement said the team had bee called to an address at Crumlin Park, Crumlin shortly after midnight.

The statement said a "viable improvised explosive device" was made safe at the scene without recourse to a controlled explosion.

Earlier yesterday a bomb was found under a car on Captain's Avenue, Crumlin and this was also disarmed.

According to the Defence Forces "these home-made bombs are crude, unstable and potentially very dangerous".
