15:58 Gardaí have opened a murder investigation after a man was killed in an overnight shooting in Sligo. Two other people, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured. The man (39), was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was named by gardaí as David Lynch of Collery Drive, Sligo. Chief Supt Kieran Kenny appealed for anyone with information to contact the incident room in Sligo.
