Motorists warned of icy road conditions
18:10 Motorists were warned to take care this evening due to dangerous road conditions. Heavy overnight frost, snow and ice resulted in difficult conditions in many areas of the country. While some major routes have been gritted by local authorities, many back roads remain hazardous. AA Roadwatch said the North West was the worst-affected by snowfalls.
