Find your ancestorsArmy bomb disposal experts today defused a "viable" pipe bomb thrown at a police station in Northern Ireland.
The device was thrown at Strabane police station in Co Tyrone shortly before midnight and landed near the station's gates in Bowling Green.
Police investigating the incident appealed for information about two men in dark clothing who were acting suspiciously in the area.
Further searches of the area will continue today.
