Three people were arrested - one in the North - after the seizure of the drugs in Collon, Co Louth last Friday.
Frances Hynes of Grangeclare, Kilmeage, Co Kildare was charged with possesion of drugs when he appeared at a special sitting of Navan district court this morning.
He was remanded in custody until next Friday December 21st. Gardai had objected to bail and said further charges may be proffered.
