Customer Service FAQsFour people escaped injury overnight when a shot was fired at the front door of a house in Cork city.
Two people were arrested soon after the incident at Kilmore Road, Knocknaheeney, which happened just before 2am.
"There were 4 adults upstairs in the house at the time. Nobody was injured," a Garda spokesman said. Two people were arrested in a nearby housing estate after gardai patrolling nearby were on the scene almost immediately.
A firearm was also recovered in the driveway of a house near where the pair were arrested.
They are being detained separately under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Gurranabraher and Mayfield Garda Stations. The men arrested are 21 and 23 years of age.
Gardai say a third suspect was seen fleeing the scene.
