20:24 Reforms of the private health insurance market announced by Minister for Health Mary Harney today will include a 20 per cent reduction in the amount VHI's competitors will have to pay it in so-called risk equalisation payments. Ms Harney said the new regulations, due to come before the Dáil tomorrow, will "remove uncertainties for existing operators" and hopefully encourage new entrants into the market. She said they also contain important "pro-consumer" measures. The Minister will meet with VHI tomorrow.
