Man arrested over cocaine seizure
Gardaí in Co Dublin have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the seizure of an estimated €400,000 worth of cocaine.
A spokeswoman for the Garda press office said gardaí recovered around 5kg of white powder, believed to be cocaine, from a field in Oldtown, on the Dublin-Meath border, at around 12.30pm yesterday.
One man was detained today following a follow-up search. He was arrested on the Malahide/Clontarf road and is being detained at Balbriggan Garda station. He can be held for up to seven days, the Garda spokeswoman said.
