Sat 09 Sep 2001UAE pledges full backing to anti-terrorism effortThe United Arab Emirates (UAE) said today it would contribute in any way possible to international efforts to eradicate terrorism following devastating attacks on the United States.Sheikh Zaid's comments were the most specific and sweeping the Gulf state has so far made about the attacks. UAE government ministers earlier in the week pledged to cooperate with the probe into the atrocities and expressed general support for the fight against terrorism.
