Wed 08 Aug 2001Eight wounded in Sri Lankan mine explosionEight people were injured today when a bus was hit by a powerful mine explosion in Sri Lanka's northeastern port district of Trincomalee.Seven passengers and the driver of the bus were seriously injured, a defence ministry spokesman said. About a dozen passengers were in the bus at the time of the attack.
