Job ticket information booking details
  • When you book an advertisement, a job ticket is generated by our booking system. This ticket contains all the relevant booking information, e.g. URN, publication, size, colour/mono, date of publication, etc. On transmission Quickcut validates your copy against this job ticket.
When booking, one of the following options will apply:
  • You are an existing Quickcut User
Your job ticket will be sent via the Quickcut Pagestore software.
  • You book via a known Agency
On booking the space, the job ticket can be assigned by your sales contact to an existing Quickcut user, e.g. creative agency or repro/process house of your choice.
  • The agency is unknown at time of booking
You will receive an e-mail from our booking system giving a link to the Quickcut Forward Advice System (web page). This page holds your job ticket, and it may be assigned to any existing Quickcut user.
Repeat Ads
  • The Irish Times does not always keep copies of advertisement files, unless booked for multiple inserts. However, if we still have the original file, and you re-book the advertisement, it can be used provided you e-mail repeat instructions to Copy Control (copycontrol@irishtimes.com) giving both the original and the new URNs (Unique Reference Numbers). We need both URNs - the publication dates alone are not acceptable.
