When you book an advertisement, a job ticket is generated by our booking system. This ticket contains all the relevant booking information, e.g. URN, publication, size, colour/mono, date of publication, etc. On transmission Quickcut validates your copy against this job ticket.
When booking, one of the following options will apply:
You are an existing Quickcut User
Your job ticket will be sent via the Quickcut Pagestore software.
You book via a known Agency
On booking the space, the job ticket can be assigned by your sales contact to an existing Quickcut user, e.g. creative agency or repro/process house of your choice.
The agency is unknown at time of booking
You will receive an e-mail from our booking system giving a link to the Quickcut Forward Advice System (web page). This page holds your job ticket, and it may be assigned to any existing Quickcut user.
Repeat Ads
The Irish Times does not always keep copies of advertisement files, unless booked for multiple inserts. However, if we still have the original file, and you re-book the advertisement, it can be used provided you e-mail repeat instructions to Copy Control (copycontrol@irishtimes.com) giving both the original and the new URNs (Unique Reference Numbers). We need both URNs - the publication dates alone are not acceptable.
