Antonio Banderas To Play Pablo Picasso

22nd February 2012 Spanish actor Antonio Banderas is to play Pablo Picasso in the $8 million flick 33 dias (33 Days), says Variety.

The story will apparently focus on the "emotionally turbulent time Picasso spent on "Guernica", his famed mural showing the destruction of Basque town of Guernica in 1937 by the Nazi Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War." Banderas stars in this weekend's Black Gold, and has also appeared in Haywire and Puss in Boots during the past few months.

The film will be shot in French and Spanish next summer on location in Paris and Guernica.
