Tommy Tiernan on tour

By Kathleen Harris, 31st January 2012

Following his critically acclaimed sold-out UK tour, Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan brings Poot! to Dublin’s Vicar Street this April.

The 40-year-old Donegal native is known for his hilarious storytelling, high energy, non-apologetic delivery and fearlessness when it comes to the controversial. He muses and riffs on everything, from family, marriage and sex, to drugs, politics and religion.

Tiernan has the highest selling DVD sales in Ireland and is second only to U2 for live ticket sales in the country. His latest DVD, Crooked Man, released November 2011, received rave reviews from critics and has been hailed as the best thing the comedian has ever done.

Tickets for Tiernan’s eight-date Poot! tour are on sale now. Tickets are €35, available from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and online at www.ticketmaster.ie. They’re selling out, so purchase yours now!

Ahead of Poot!, Tiernan is on tour with gigs taking place throughout the country. February sees the comedian performing several shows in Monaghan, Offaly, Cavan and Limerick. There are more Limerick dates in March, followed by shows in Kerry.
