Irish funny man Dara O Briain is Live at the Marquee in June and returns to Dublin's Vicar Street in July. Extra dates for ‘Dara O Briain: Craic Dealer’ have been added to his 2012 tour due to phenomenal demand.
In 2010, the Irish-born, London-based O Briain completed a 150-date sell-out tour of Ireland and the UK, followed by the release of his best-selling DVD, This is the Show. He’s back on the road in 2012 with a brand new act.
The charismatic comic from Co Wicklow is one of the most recognisable faces of Irish and British television, noted for hosting topical panel shows such as RTE’s The Panel and BBC Two’s Mock the Week. He has also featured on Have I Got News for You, QI and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, has hosted The Apprentice: You’re Fired! and Stargazing Live, and stared in Three Men in a Boat.
With a sharp eye for the absurd and the spurious, the fast-talking O Briain delivers intelligent and hilarious observational comedy gold. The Guardian says, “his set is a masterclass in intelligent, no-frills stand-up,” while The Times calls him “one of the most dependably entertaining stand up comics in the land.”
O’Briain’s 2012 tour includes live shows in Dublin, Killarney, Cork, Mayo, Derry and Belfast. After most January and February shows in Dublin sold out, O’Briain announced extra dates for Dublin and Cork. Tickets are on sale now. For the full 2012 tour schedule, click here.
