Five Premier League games off

Soccer: The big freeze is continuing to decimate this weekend's action in England and Scotland, with Chelsea's game against Hull City now among five Premier League matches to fall foul of the harsh conditions.

Fulham were first to call off their game, with Portsmouth due to visit Craven Cottage. Stoke City's visit to Burnley soon fell by the wayside and Sunderland's game against Bolton at the Stadium of Light is also off.

Liverpool earlier informed the Premier League they believed their game should be postponed because of safety concerns over supporters making their way to the ground and after discussions with the league the game was called off.

Four became five this evening when Stamford Bridge was ruled unplayable.

Six games in the Championship have been called off and there are 10 Scottish Cup games postponed so far.

There are now only three games due to be played in League One and League Two tomorrow.
