Horslips

Legendary Irish band Horslips will play two dates this December, giving their many fans all over the world an early Christmas present. The Celtic rock legends, who are perhaps most famous for their 1973 album 'The Tain', are planning a brief reformation 30 years after the release of their last album, 1979's 'Short Stories/Tall Tales'. The band will play songs from their ten albums from the '70s, as well as more recent material from the 'Roll Back' unplugged session. Original drummer Eamon Carr has retired from live performances, but he remains a fifth member and is fully supportive of the concerts. His place behind the drumkit will be taken by Ray Fean, brother of Johnny Fean. The dates of the gigs are Thursday, December 3rd at Belfast's Odyssey Arena, and Saturday, December 5th at Dublin's O2. Tickets are from £33/€49.50 and on sale from Thursday, July 9th.
