Recorded in Connecticut with The National producer Peter Katis, frontman Scott Hutchison claims the new album is 'classier' and 'better' than last year's utterly fantastic 'Midnight Organ Fight'. If that's true, we'll be on the edge of our seats until its release on March 1st. The tracklist is below, along with the video for current single 'Swim Until You Can't See Land'. Seriously, any excuse...

Fleet Foxes Bella Union labelmates Midlake return with the long awaited follow up to 2006's 'The Trials of Van Occupanther'. It will be called 'The Courage of Others', and is due for release in Feburary 2010. Apparently, it will have a 'British trad-tainted folk sound 'and though 'It may share the same gorgeously analogue-warm electro-acoustic template as Van Occupanther but it's a slower, darker and more carved record, both eerier and dreamier.'

Meanwhile, The Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently working on the follow up to 2006's Stadium Arcadium, and claim it could be ready for release by next October. Echo and The Bunnymen will release 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' on November 23rd, which features their classic 1984 album 'Ocean Rain' played in its entirety, and Fall Out Boy will release their greatest hits, 'Believers Never Die' on November 16th.
