Album News: Hot Chip, Four Tet, Liars and more...

London electro-pop outfit Hot Chip have revealed that they are to release a new album entitled 'One Life Stand' on February 8th 2010, "to warm the cockles of your soul right in the middle of the bleak mid-winter." The band are putting the finishing touches to the album now, and have already made it available for pre-order from their online store, and offering a brand new free track 'Take It In' and exclusive footage to those who sign up.

Kieran Hebden, better known as Four Tet, has announced details of his forthcoming fifth album. Hebden's first full length album in four years will be called 'There Is Love In You', and is set for release on January 25th. Its lead single, 'Love Cry' will be rlease on December 8th on 12" vinyl, and is streaming on Four Tet's myspace page now.

The tracklist for 'There Is Love In You' is as follows:

Angel Echoes

Art rock trio Liars have revealed that their forthcoming fifth album will be called 'Sisterworld' (artwork above), and will be released in early 2010. The album was recorded in LA with the help of Kanye and Beck producer Tom Biller. The band have said,"We're interested in the alternate spaces people create in order to maintain identity in a city like LA... Environments where outcasts and loners celebrate a skewered relationship to society."

Pet Shop Boys are hopping on the Christmas bandwagon this year with the release of a festive five track EP. Entitled simply 'Christmas', the EP features a cover of Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida', Madness' 'My Girl', a new version of the 'Yes' album track 'All Over The World', and the 1997 fan club Christmas single version of 'It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas'. 'Christmas' is due for release on December 14th.

In other news, Chris Brown's upcoming 'Graffiti' album has had its release date pushed forward a week to December 8th, and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has recruited Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Grohl, Fergie and Cyprus Hill for a new solo album. Finally, following their recent reunion, Pavement are considering putting together a 'Best Of' compilation, that would feature outtakes and previously unreleased radio sessions.
