Waterside Guesthouse, accommodation in Kilkenny, is run by husband and wife team Brian and Brigid Roberts. For the past eleven years they have welcomed thousands of guests to Graiguenamanagh.
Waterside Guesthouse is a beautifully restored 19th century granite cornstore with feature wooden beams throughout. Waterside Guesthouse is an excellent base for boating, fishing and hill walking, and there is a superb restaurant featuring local produce.
The corridors at Waterside Guesthouse feature the original granite wall of the mill building, solid and extra thick they help to keep the building cool in summer and cosy in winter. Every one of the bedrooms feature one or two of the original pitch pine ceiling beams, designed to hold great weight of tonnes of bags of corn delivered by boat from Athy and other far flung towns. In fact all the rooms are different in shape and size, but all offer the same homely atmosphere whether neat doubles or large family rooms. Best of all is that all rooms overlook the River Barrow and the old stone bridge. All rooms have ensuite shower, television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Complimentary WiFi is available in all the rooms.
