Tahilla Cove is a family-run, fully licensed sea shore guesthouse located on the Ring of Kerry sea shore. The 14 acre estate boasts mature gardens and private pier. It's the ideal place for a relaxing holiday and touring centre. WiFi is available in the public areas and there is private car parking for guests.
Tahilla Cove Guesthouse is run by James with his son Charles and wife Deirdre. The guesthouse consists of two houses, built in the forties by James’s father, touched by unusual mélange of Art Deco and Greek villa. Sink into boldly floral sofa and chairs and gaze on palm trees and sea, put your feet up by the wood burning fire and be charmed by the ever-changing light, it is restful and delightful. Big unpretentious bedrooms are lifted by art on the walls and good strong colours; most have a private balcony or terrace and views of the legendary peninsula. Walk through oak groves to idyllic viewpoints where seals can be seen basking on rocks, swim off the private pier, mess about in a rowing boat before coming back for tea in the sun or drinks by the bar.
Tahilla Cove provides the perfect base for touring the entire South West Region including the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Killarney and the West Cork Region. In addition it is the favourite haunt for people choosing the following activities walking, fishing, both sea and river, golfing with six courses within one hours drive, swimming and horse-riding. Also a very memorable day for many guests is a day trip to the Skellig Islands, which should be booked in advance.
