The people of Belfast are being encouraged to get reading with One City One Book. All the Beggars Riding is the new novel by Belfast novelist and playwright Lucy Caldwell. Narrated by Lara, nearing forty and nursing her dying mother, All the Beggars Riding is the portrait of a woman confronting her past.  The book is the focus of an Arts Council NI community reading initiative to develop the art of reading and promote Belfast's rich creativity. Supported by Belfast City Council,  Libraries NI, Belfast Telegraph, U105, QFT and Translink, the programme of events includes readings, movies and talks which will take place in various venues across the city to encourage as many people as possible to read and discuss the same novel.  Programme of events: Weds 1st May, 6.30pm: In conversation with Lucy Caldwell and Peter Sheridan.
