Ireland is well known for its traditional pubs and the craic of a noisy bar, but for those who want to stretch the night out a bit, we do have quite a few excellent nightclubs on offer. Though late opening is a pipe dream, unlike so many major European cities, Ireland’s clubs offer something for everyone, whether it’s cheesy 80s pop, or something a little harder or refined. The usual rules apply to late night revellers, dress up (but don’t get too dressed up!) bring ID, don’t take too much drink on board, have a good time, dance the night away and follow the crowd to the local chipper for a bite to eat afterwards!
You’ll find some sort of a nightclub in every town, but obviously the more built up the metropolis, the more options you’re likely to have. Here is our choice of 10 of the best nightclubs in Ireland, a very broad mix of the island’s late night scene.
