The world has lost a kind and good spirited man, You will be missed for your inspiring words and actions as well as your strength and determination which you have illustrated throughout your life. It has been said that it is better to live one day of greatness than a life time of weakness you have lived a life of greatness. We love you and the world will miss you
Triona O' Callaghan, Ireland

Holy Father: We have lost a great man of compassion, who had the courage of his convictions. I trust you know and see how much you were loved. Thank you for making such a difference in the world, in its struggle for peace amid nations, religions and ethnic groups. Amen

The voice of reason in a sometimes unreasonable world. With all your labours, you have left the world making it a better place. Thank you.

A highly admired and great person who will never be forgotten !
Fiona Branley, Ireland

Thank you Papa for the lessons you imparted to us not as much by what you said but as by the way you lived your entire life. You showed us how to follow Christ by your witness of hope, and in the end ,how to die with dignity and acceptance that we may one day realize the joy awaiting all of us by virtue of the cross that you so nobly bore. Pope John Paul II you were a pillar in a times of doubt, never faltering, yet reachable by people. May you rest in peace with the Father.

Pope John Paul II RIP (1920 - 2005) A little boy with Faith and Hope, In Poland he was born, Named Karol Wojtyla then, Known later as John Paul. His young life filled with tragedy, A young man left alone, Losing all his loved ones, His courage was unknown. He was passionate about football, And the theatre too he loved. But God above had called him, So his life to Christ he vowed. He studied for the priesthood, He followed a silent call, Because it was in secret, He worked for one and all. From Krakow to the Vatican, His greatest call had come, Happy now and one with God, For his people Freedom Won. Devoted to all people, He travelled far and near, They came in their great numbers, His message for to hear. His message was one of Peace, Rejoice in the good Lord's Love And to Mary he was devoted, In her Heavenly Home above. Again in life he suffered, His latter years were hard. But in his heavenly life I'm sure, He will have just reward. He is an example to us all, Our dear John Paul our Pope. He has told us all from time to time, Don't ever give up hope. His Last Farewell on Friday 8th, Shows his goodness still survives. The whole world bids a fond farewell, To a man who's touched our lives. So Dear John Paul II, We loved you, you were the best, You touched our hearts, our lives, our prayers, May you have eternal rest? With God above our Father, As you reach the Eternal Gate, May He put his arms around you, Our Dear John Paul the Great. By: Sheila O'Reilly

#owiczanie Polish Folk Dance Ensemble sends heartfelt prayers for the repose of the soul of his Holiness, Pope John Paul II. We remember with pride the privilege granted to us to dance and sing for our beloved Pope during his visit to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1987 - in Monterey and at the open-air Mass in Candlestick Park. Two members of our chorus sang at Mass in San Francisco. Karol Wojty3a visited our beloved City more than once. We remember with fondness and gratitude the visits of our well-traveled Pope to the Bay Area. He touched so many lives. May he rest in peace. May all of us have the courage to follow the example of this proud Polish Pope, who put himself in the hands of God and the Blessed Mary. He who gave so much is now at peace. May we be truly authentic and truly counter-culture, as was Pope John Paul II, forsaking materialism and caring for the least among us. Thank you, Holy Father, for your courage and example.
