When it's time to break free from the stresses of Christmas and escape those turkey leftovers, the Leopardstown Christmas Festival offers an exhilarating day out for sporting fans, socialites and thrill-seekers alike, from 26th - 29th December.

Held over four days in December and starting on St. Stephen's Day, this impressive racing programme guarantees the best of National Hunt racing, alongside the venue’s extensive facilities which have become traditional hotspots for post-Christmas get-togethers.

Festival Highlights:

26th December
The first day of the festival is known as Racing Post Day, and kicks off the first of four high calibre National Hunt race days with the thrilling Racing Post Novice Steeplechase (Grade 1).

27th December
Day two of the Christmas meeting is known as Paddy Power Day and features The Paddy Power Chase, The Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase (Grade 1) and The Paddy Power Future Champion Novice Hurdle (Grade 1).

28th December
On day three, Lexus Chase Day, race-goers can enjoy the feature race known as the Grade 1 Lexus Chase, which each year guarantees to gather only the highest quality horses to battle it out for first place.

29th December
Why not start your New Year’s celebrations early and join us at Leopardstown for the final day of the racing festival, a perfect kick start to the New Year’s Festival. NYF Dublin is the new and exciting 3 day city wide festival of Arts, Cultureand Live Entertainment. The final day at Leopardstown brings top class Grade 1 racing featuring the Ryanair Hurdle which has been won by the renowned Hurricane Fly three of the last four years.

The Ryanair Hurdle is one of the top hurdle races of the season and is often seen as a pointer for the Champion Hurdle in Cheltenham. The day also features a second Grade 1 race - the Topaz Novice Chase, so there’s plenty to get pulses racing.

Following the races enjoy a live concert at the Christmas Festival Marquee with classical musician Vladimir Jablokov, who has established himself as one of the best young talents playing in Ireland at present. Vladimir’s ‘Classical Twist’ band showcases a small dynamic band of Slovak and Irish musicians (two violins, viola, piano, bass and drums) taking familiar pieces and reworking them in into new, vibrant, exciting shapes.

Don't miss the sparkling atmosphere and spectacular entertainment at Leopardstown this Christmas.
