Kilkenny is a walking city and Kilkenny Walking Tours have been guiding visitors around the Medieval City for almost 30 years.Kilkenny Walking Tours(Official Kilkenny Tour Guide since 1983). The Walking Tours are led by Pat Tynan and he is joined this year by Barbara and Caroline.

Daily Tours depart from Kilkenny Tourist Office:
Mon to Sat 10.30am 12.15pm and 3.00pm.
Sun at 11.15am & 12.30pm.

Our experienced guides will talk you through Kilkenny’s unique history as you ramble through its compact and winding laneways.

The Walking Tour will visit the following sites:
- Shee Alms House
- Entrance to St. Mary’s Church/Monument Room
- Tholsel
- Butter Slip
- Market Slip
- Entrance to the Witches House - Kyteler’s Inn
- Rothe House (exterior)
- City Wall & City Gate
- Black Abbey
- St. Canice’s Cathedral (separate entry)

The Medieval Walking Tours have been based at the Shee Alms House, Kilkenny Tourist Office since 1983. In 1985 the Medieval Walking Tours was officially recognised as the official city tour by the city authorities.
