Maria Doyle Kennedy will light up the intimate St Werburgh’s Church with her enduringly beautiful voice.
Maria Doyle Kennedy initially won fame in front of the camera when she played the part of Natalie in Alan Parker’s classic 1991 film, The Commitments. She has managed to maintain twin careers as both an actor and a musician ever since then.
In November of 2017, Maria Doyle Kennedy released a self-titled album which was the long-awaited follow-up to her acclaimed 2012 album, Sing. Amongst the songs featured on it is Pride, which celebrates the result of Ireland’s 2015 marriage equality referendum.
