Artisans of Russborough are a group of independent craft artists based at Russborough House Studio and Workshop in Blessington, County Wicklow. The various disciplines include candle making, blacksmithing, bog oak sculpting and wood turning.
The Artisans of Russborough were formed in 2009 and are a group of resident artists working from within the grounds of Russborough House outside Blessington, County Wicklow. All at Russborough operate in the format of studio/workshops, providing a unique experience of seeing first hand the people at work, producing high quality craft.
Craft produced includes letter carving, ceramics, weaving, screen printing candle making, blacksmithing, bog oak sculpting and wood turning.

All craft people at Russborough operate in the format of Studio/Workshops, providing a unique experience of seeing first hand the people at work, producing high quality craft.

All other Artist Studios have their doors open and crafts for sale on most days 11am-16pm.

Candle Making: Welcome to Firefly Candles at the Old Dairy: Karen is on hand to help you experience the art of hand poured candle making
Wood Turner – Letter carver: From log to art piece, the turner’s gouge reveals the natural beauty of the wood, giving new life to century old Irish trees. Bowls, candle holders and decorative pieces are available in our studio. Signs/letter carving is services are also provided.
Bog Oak Sculptor: Eamonn works on designing both abstract and traditional figures .He is intrigued by the timeless quality of the locally sourced ancient bog oak and takes pride in the preparation.Sculpting and presentation of his work in equal measure
Blacksmiths: Ground breaking designs in contemporary metalwork by blacksmiths couple Michael Calnan & Gunvor Anhøj. Winners of the 2011 RDS National Crafts Competition, Metal Work Category. Unique pieces for the private and public space
Ceramist : The work is mainly sculptural and based on the human form also make a range of hand built fine procelain vessels
