Ballyshunnock Reservoir is just off the National Route N25 about half way between Waterford and Dungarvan. The reservoir provides good fishing for trout.
Ballyshunnock Reservoir is located Portlaw, County Waterford. The water surface at normal levels is approximately seventy acres. It is split by the Carrols Cross / Portlaw road which crosses it over a causeway. Trout stocks in the section west of the road are smaller in numbers but larger size than those in the main body of water.
Methods used here include fly, spinning and worming from shore. There are no boats permitted on Ballyshunnock Reservoir.
