Le Chéile Arts & Music Festival welcomes you to a jam packed weekend of music, arts, entertainment, teen events, theatre and camping this August Bank Holiday Weekend in historic Oldcastle. Enjoy a weekend of over 80 of Ireland's top bands, the cream of Irish artists, dramatists, and much, much more. Experience new venues, five festival stages and the town's rich history - all in a fun festival weekend, with music on the streets, artists in the bars, children's entertainment and some huge gigs in the newly refurbished listed building: the Cinema Club Stage. With exhibitions, theatre, art workshops for all ages, artisan stalls, Kidzone, and much more, the Le Cheile Festival promises something for everyone, especially the kids, with teen gigs, and disco, face painting, on street entertainers, fire displays, stilt walkers, and the odd surprise.
Oldcaste is located less than 45 minutes from Dublin, with easy access on the new M3 motorway. Take a walk in Loughcrew Gardens at the birthplace of St. Oliver Plunkett, followed by a walk to the Loughcrew Hills to the megalithic burial tombs - older than the Pyramids! Then relax in the town as the music begins, and the fun starts.
All details of line-ups, camping, ticket prices, free events, locations, entertainment and accommodation can be found on the festival website. You can also stay up-to-date with all the latest additions and be in with a chance to win tickets on the event's Facebook page.
