Built in 1760, this rural, traditional cottage is a gem. One of Ireland's oldest bars 'The Thatch Pub' has been selling drink and merchandise serving as a shibeen and landmark in the area for generations.

Lovingly restored by its present landlord Gene Anderson, himself a musician, the pub boasts of antiques, good company and interesting local people. A venue for nightly sessions in a beautiful atmosphere, visitors can enjoy quality drinks, fine music, comfort and easy access by taxi at fixed rates from their accommodation in the area. An arched parking area can facilitate campervans.

There is access for the disabled and children and pets are always welcome.
