The charming Dawson House is a three bedroom wing of the 18th century Old Rectory Farmhouse in County Laois. This tranquil rural setting is an ideal centre for touring, golfing, fishing, hill walking, canal boating and horse riding.

The Old Rectory holiday house rentals nestle in the beautiful heart of the Irish countryside, in the village of Emo, in County Laois. The Old Rectory was constructed in 1785, for the Hon. Rev William Dawson (son of Lord Carlow) and has been the home of the Deverell family since the 1950's. It is situated just 20 minutes from Kildare and one hour from Dublin, Kilkenny and Cashel.

The courtyard has two luxury coach houses and Dawson House. Each self catering property has its own unique charm and offers reasonably priced, breaks away from the hustle, bustle and stresses of modern life.

The three star self catering Dawson House is full of character, with modern facilities and safe parking in the courtyard. There are three spacious bedrooms, complete with a shower room, toilet and basin, plus a separate toilet with basin. The house boasts two double rooms and one twin bedroom. Downstairs consists of a fully fitted kitchen, leading to a large sitting room with satellite TV, an open fire and period furniture. There is a sun porch/patio and barbecue available for guest use; as well as a small conservatory, patio and sitting area. Guests also have the use of the large walled-in garden. The Old Rectory is on the outskirts of the pretty village of Emo, which has a pub and small shop.
