In the past Market Cross was Kilkenny's City Centre. Some things never change. When Kilkenny's ancient Market Cross was erected in High Street in 1335 local traders flocked around it to market their wares. The whole area became known as Market Cross and it's said that you could buy or sell just about anything there. Today Market Cross Shopping Centre keeps that ancient tradition alive with outstanding shopping in over 40 shops.
