Rossbeigh Blue Flag Beach 2013

Rossbeigh Blue Flag Beach is located 2 miles from the village of Glenbeigh in County Kerry. It is an extensive sandy beach in a rural environment and is great for swimming, walking, surfing and a wide range of other activities.
Rossbeigh Beach has received its Blue Flag for 2013 and is also part of the Castlemaine Harbour Special Area of Conservation (SAC), Special Protection Area (SPA), and proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA), with important habitats and flora and fauna present.
It is located near the village of Glenbeigh on the South Kerry Peninsula and is directly south of the Inch sandpit.
A lifeguard is on duty during the bathing season and further information can be found on the noticeboard which is located at the beach.
