For those who love to walk, hike or trek, the youth hostel is located on the Slí Chorca Dhuibhne (The Dingle Way) and is very near Mount Brandon, Ireland's second highest mountain so there’s plenty of challenges. It’s also a great stop on the famous Wild Atlantic Way costal drive route. It is an Irish-speaking (Gaeltacht) area and regularly has students coming from around the globe to the area to hear, speak and learn the language even from as far away as Russia and Japan!
The spectacular views of the Blasket Islands, the rugged cliffs which make up the coastline, the picturesque, narrow, winding pathway leading to the famous spiral pier and the splendid sunsets all add to the splendour of the area. It's no wonder that the views of this area feature in many calendars, postcards and tourist brochures each year.
If you're interest in nature, you can go whale, dolphin and bird watching so be sure to take a boat ride out to the islands where you'll see a seal sanctuary near Dingle a huge population of seals and you might even spot Fungi, the famous dolphin who's been living at the mouth of Dingle Harbour since 1984.

The dorm room which is the most budget-friendly beds (from only €15 per person), there are also en suite rooms, private rooms and family rooms. Please note, fresh clean sheets are provided at the hostel at a cost of €2. Towels can also be hired if you've forgotten yours. There is a free car park available for guests as well as free wifi.
There’s a great self-catering kitchen in this youth hostel, so you can save money and make some friends in the hostel too if you want to pool your resources! Meals can be provided for Groups of 10 or more but make sure to pre-book in advance. When you get back from your full day's activities you can also opt for a Barbecue (BBQ) when the weather's fine and there's a drying room and laundry for you to make sure your clothes are all ready for the next adventure! Or, if you just want to relax in the TV lounge and watch the sunset the view from the hostel never fails to impress!
