Corrib Tackle is a retail shop with comprehensive stock of requirements for game, sea and coarse anglers, i.e. fishing tackle, and also firearms, ammunition, archery and air soft. Ireland's first air soft indoor shooting range opened at Liosban in recent years, and is an entertainment facility for individuals, companies, stags, hens and tourists to use. Visitors can hire a selection of airsoft pistols and assault rifles for use on the five professional shooting lanes, one of which is also available for archery. Airsoft guns fire a 6mm plastic pellet and, in Ireland, are legally limited to a 1 joule of energy - sufficient only to leave a minor bruise from a range of 10m. Due to their realistic appearance, they have become a phenomenally popular recreation activity and many Irish people now spend their weekends skirmishing outdoors. However, Corrib's shooting range is the first opportunity for skilled target practice, and its indoor location makes it appealing for less weather-hardened airsoft fans.
