Hidden Connemara Tours offer a range of guided walking tours of the beautiful Connemara region.
Connemara is a stunning patchwork of pale grey desolate mountains, rugged bogs, hidden valleys, breathtaking waterfalls, shimmering lakes and golden beaches. At the heart of Connemara are the Maumturk and Twelve Bens mountain ranges, which offer some tremendous hill walking. On the tour the guide will share with you the history, geology, flora and fauna of this amazing region.
Each daily tour is divided up into a walk before lunch and a walk after lunch (approx 2 – 2 ½ hours each). The walks are chosen to suit the weather conditions and the ability of the group. All walks are suitable for anybody with a moderate level of fitness. More details and pricing of various walks offered can be found on the website. Lunch isn’t provided, but why not pack a picnic to enjoy while taking in the wonderful views of Connemara.
Group sizes are limited to 14 people per day to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants.
The tour departs from the Coach station in Forster street, Galway at 10am and returns to Galway at 6pm.
