Day 1 April 12th: Welcome to Ireland. Arrive into Dublin and enjoy an Orientation Tour of the city exploring Georgian and Literary Dublin followed by a Handel-inspired Walking Tour taking in the main sites of Fishamble Street in Templebar where the Messiah was first performed, Abbey Street, College Green, Mercer’s Hospital, the Theatre Royal and Number 29. Afternoon transfer to Richview Hall, UCD (or similar) for 3 hour rehearsal with Piano. Evening transfer to Christchurch Cathedral (or similar) for Welcome Reception. Dinner/Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 April 13th: Performance of the Messiah at St. Andrew’s Church. Morning transfer to Richview Hall, UCD (or similar) for a further 3 hour Rehearsal with a Period Time Band. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure in preparation for evening performance. Evening transfer to St. Andrew’s Church, Westland Row for performance (2 hours) of George Frederic Handel’s “Messiah” as conducted by Desmond Earley. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: April 14th Wicklow Day. Morning departure to County Wicklow. Visit Powerscourt House & Gardens and enjoy an informal performance in the Gardens. Return to Dublin and take an afternoon at leisure. Evening transfer to the Guinness Storehouse for Dinner and a night of Traditional Entertainment. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: April 15th Farewell Transfer to Dublin Airport. Pre & Post Night Extensions available.
