Bay View Cottage is located in the coastal village of Kilcrohane in West Cork. It is within walking distance of the sea and the village pubs, shops and restaurants. Amenities include a sea view, garden, parking, WiFi and it is also dog friendly.

Kilcrohane is located on the Wild Atlantic Way - a coastal route stretching along the entire west coast of Ireland. One of Ireland's most popular walking and cycling routes - The Sheepshead Way - is centred around Kilcrohane with walks and trails for all abilities of walker and hiker.

Bay View Cottage is centrally located in the village and is within a stone's throw of the sea and the village’s amenities – shops, post office, pubs, and restaurants. Bay View Cottage has a sea view, a small garden to the rear, off-street parking and free WiFi. Dogs are welcome (by prior arrangement). The property can sleep 5 persons and there is a double bedroom with sea view and en-suite, a twin room and a single room. There is a family bathroom upstairs and a guest WC downstairs. The property is fully equipped and furnished and has an open plan kitchen/dining area with patio doors to a small balcony that overlooks the garden and Dunmanus Bay. French doors lead from the dining area to the living room where there is an open fire (as well as central heating throughout). There is also a utility room with washer and dryer.

The village has a children’s playground and a community/football field, and both open to the public. The local pier is a good place to swim and there are several coves that are perfect for swimming and angling.

In the summer months, fresh produce can be purchased at the farm producer’s shop located near O’Donovan Motors. There are 3 restaurants in the village. The Bay View restaurant is open for July and August. Bridge View House restaurant is open year-round but reservations are recommended in low season. The Old Creamery restaurant is open from June to October. The village’s two pubs - the Bay View and Eileen’s - are open year-round.

There are two art galleries close by - The White House Gallery, and the Heron Gallery in Ahakista. There is also a tea shop/café at the end of the Peninsula that is open from Easter to October.

The nearest village to Kilcrohane is Ahakista. Visitors should check out Arundel's By The Pier where good traditional fare and bicycle hire are available. Be sure to pop into The Tin Pub (open June to September).

The nearest town is Bantry which has good restaurants, a cinema, two leisure centres (at the Maritime and West Lodge hotels), an 18-hole golf course, a market every Friday, and a variety of shops, boutiques and supermarkets.
