Sam Maguire Homestead offers everything needed for a truly memorably break in County Cork. Set near Dunmanway, the cottages boast three bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The area is home to historical sites, golf, walking and hiking.
Sam Maguire Homestead is a newly built development of holiday homes situated in a tranquil location in the countryside of West Cork. Found just a short drive from Dunmanway Town, the development comprises eight homes and serves as an ideal base for exploring the region.
Each architect designed house has been fitted out to the highest standards and can comfortably sleep seven people. The accommodation includes a master double room ensuite with plasma TV; a room with double and single beds; and a second double ensuite. The kitchen includes everything required to prepare meals, such as microwave and dishwasher, as well as washing machine and dryer. Bed linen and duvets are provided, with beds made up on arrival. Cots are available on request.
This beautiful complex boasts a number of unique attractions in the immediate area. It is the birthplace of GAA legend Sam Maguire, and the visitor centre named for him sits just 60m from the houses. The famous Sam Maguire festival is an annual event in Dunmanway and takes place in September. The birthplace of Michael Collins, one of Ireland’s most famous historical figures, is just 15 minutes away. Popular local activities include golf, walking and hiking.
