City of Culture 2013, in partnership with Culture NI, will play a lead role in Creativity Month – a celebration of creativity and the Creative Industries across the north of Ireland. An exciting programme of events and workshops will take place throughout March, aimed at stimulating new thinking and collaborations to help creative people, creative ideas and creative businesses to emerge and flourish. The impact of the Creative Industries can be seen across a wide range of sectors from tourism to manufacturing. There are examples all around us in advertising, architecture, art, crafts, design, film, music and digital technologies. Creativity Month will also showcase how our creative and cultural infrastructure and programmes are providing new ideas to tackle challenges in the economy, health, social inclusion and the environment. City of Culture 2013 will work in partnership with Culture NI to further develop the Creativity NI website as an online hub for creativity across the region, offering creative opportunities for all.
