As Northern Ireland’s roads become more and more congested and therefore dangerous for horse riders, the appeal of off-road tracks and bridleways becomes obvious. The thought of riding for 10 or 20 miles along quiet pathways is very attractive to many riders across Northern Ireland. Not only is this safer for horse and rider and affords riders a more relaxing experience, it also prevents the foot injuries suffered by some horses who regularly walk on tarmac road surfaces.
