The MAC is one of Europe’s leading art centres, situated in the heart of Belfast.

The MAC is one of Europe’s leading art centres, situated in the heart of Belfast. Recently nominated a finalist for the Art Fund Prize for Museum of the Year 2015, the award-winning venue has welcomed some 800,000 visitors since it opened in 2012.
Situated in the heart of Belfast’s bustling Cathedral Quarter, right behind Saint Anne’s Cathedral, the MAC houses three art galleries, two theatres, a bar/restaurant, family room and multiple rehearsal and office spaces.
Designed by architects Hackett Hall McKnight, the MAC has won numerous building awards including a RIBA National Award and was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award and the Design Museum Designs of the Year.

NATIVE

NATIVE by Yellow Door

Championing artisan food and drink producers from across Northern Ireland. NATIVE by Yellow Door is the café/bar concept at the MAC, Belfast, one of Europe’s most significant purpose-built multidisciplinary arts venues.

Open for breakfast, lunch and pre-theatre dining, NATIVE showcases the best products from small producers across Northern Ireland. From delicious Glenarm salmon, to Rockvale Farm chicken salad, the menu has been carefully crafted to include locally sourced and prepared ingredients.
Herbs and salad leaves are also grown on site at the MAC. The NATIVE bar also serves the most popular locally brewed and distilled beers, cider and spirits and is the perfect place to begin your night in the Cathedral Quarter.

Rockvale Farm Chicken Salad: Lemon & thyme chicken, spiced lentils, mixed leaves, quinoa, pomegranate, tomato vinaigrette
Fivemiletown Goat's Chese Tart : Puff pastry, caramelised onion, sweet potato and apricot chutney
NATIVE Bites (tapas style): Kilkeel prawn, garlic butter and cherry tomato crostini / Rockvale farm chicken tenders, caramelised onion mayo / Spiced lentil and chickpea fritters, mushroom and spinach pâté.
