Ellie Goulding's new album 'Halcyon' was released in October 2012, reaching number 2 in the charts and lead single 'Anything Could Happen' made the top 5. 'Halcyon' is the follow-up the hugely successful debut album 'Lights' which was released in 2010 and has gone on to sell one and a half million copies and generate five million single sales worldwide. 'Lights' went straight to number one in the Official UK Album Charts, spawning playlist staples 'Starry Eyed', 'Guns And Horses' , 'The Writer', 'Your Song' and 'Lights', and cementing Ellie Goulding's status as the breakthrough artist of 2010. Ellie Goulding's success in the UK has been mirrored internationally and the US in particular has taken Ellie to its heart. Her single 'Lights' has sold over two million copies there and reached number 2 on the charts. Ellie was invited to sing at the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the White House in December 2012, joining Barack Obama onstage for a round of carols. All the tracks on 'Halcyon' were written and co-produced by Ellie Goulding and the majority were recorded in a converted barn in her hometown in the Hay Valley.
