A fantastic festival of traditional Irish music, heritage and culture flavoured with the best of Irish food and hospitality.
Dunfanaghy Festival of Traditional Irish Music 2014 will feature the cream of Irish and international musicians including the very talented Ards County Down Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Champions (12-15 years) and Canadian born, classically trained celtic fiddler Catherine Moller and her ensemble, who will perform Irish tunes with a classical twist.
The live sessions will provide entertainment and will encourage audience participation with singers of all genres welcome to perform. Local historian, musician and author Seamus Harkin will deliver many an Irish yarn about days gone by at Sheephaven Bay and will perform 'Cutting the Corn in Creeslough', a song made famous by Bridie Gallagher.
