At Jerpoint Glass Studio in Thomastown County Kilkenny, visitors can watch as skilled glassblowers turn molten glass into the internationally renowned Jerpoint pieces. The gallery shop lies adjacent to the studio.
Jerpoint Glass Studio, in Thomastown County Kilkenny, is a true family business. Established in 1979 by Keith and Kathleen Leadbetter who together have built Jerpoint into an internationally recognised name. Their skill and passion for glass has now been passed onto their four children, who are all actively involved in the business.
Each Jerpoint glass piece is made my hand, as can be seen in the unmistakable quality of each item. A trip to Jerpoint Glass Studio offers a truly unique experience. Visitors can watch the skilled glassblowers perform their magic as they turn flowing red-hot molten glass into the beautiful Jerpoint shapes.
In the adjoining stone building one will find the shop and gallery where the full Jerpoint collection is available, including special one-off pieces and seconds at reduced prices. Throughout the charming shop there are lots of beautiful accessories for ones home including scented candles, soft woollen blankets, adorable baby gifts and colourful jewellery.
Upstairs in the Glass Attic Gallery visitors will discover carefully selected work by some of Ireland’s finest craftsmen. Paintings by local artists adorn the walls, combined with beautiful lighting and elegant sculptures.

Watching glass blown by hand is a most exciting spectacle! From the viewing area at the glass studio, you will see the skilled glassblowers perform their magic as they turn flowing red-hot molten glass into the beautiful Jerpoint shapes, right before your eyes. At Jerpoint the whole family can get really close to the action
Glassblowing Demonstrations running from 10.00 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday and 10.00 – 13.00 on Friday. Sorry no demonstrations on Weekends & Bank Holidays
