Ride Wild 2014 Week 3 - Finnish Blogger Satu is now at the half way point along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way.

Finnish Blogger Satu Vänskä-Westgarth is now at the half way point along her Ride Wild journey along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Satu has sadly realised that this is the beginning of the end but has not let that dampen her spirits. Cycling from Westport through Louisburgh in Mayo towards Galway and Connemara there was no shortage of beautiful scenery for Week 3.

The Wild Atlantic Way is the world’s longest defined coastal route and takes in some of the most stunning and dramatic scenery Ireland can offer. Satu is now at the half way point of Ride Wild 2014 and the beginning of the end has sadly begun.

At the beginning of week three some doubts began to creep into Satu’s mind. Satu questioned whether the scenery, people, activities, food and her own motivation could improve at this half way point. These doubts quickly disappeared as the route from Westport in Mayo to Connemara provided some of the most beautiful sunsets, little fishing villages and beaches that Satu cannot seem to get enough of. As like weeks 1 & 2 trying new activities has been a big part of Ride Wild 2014 and Week 3 has been no exception thanks to the team at Delphi Adventure Resort in Galway.  This proved to be a great boost to Satu as the adrenaline from the bridge jump will be one she will never forget :)

Week 3 has been bitter sweet with Satu’s friend Anne Marit departing Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way back to Norway to ensure that the youth of Lillehammer are ready for the 2014/2015 academic year ahead. Satu is not alone as she has been joined by some new acquaintances for the remainder of Ride Wild 2014.
