Smock Alley Theatre, Exchange Street Lower, Temple Bar, Dublin,
Trilogy explores the work of three of the all-time greatest authors: Ireland’s own Patrick Kavanagh, William Carleton, and Russia’s Fyodor Dostoyevsky. See their words reinterpreted in one man shows at Smock Alley Theatre.
Trilogy explores writing by three of the all-time greatest authors: Ireland’s own Patrick Kavanagh, William Carleton, and Russia’s Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
Works by these heroes of literature will be presented as one man shows, performed and adpated by Peter Duffy. You will see Patrick Kavanagh’s The Great Hunger alongside Dostoyevsky’s The Grand Inquisitor and a piece inspired by William Carleton’s story, Wildgoose Lodge.
Each of the performances will raise important philosophical questions that you will ponder long after the curtain falls on these homages to the great men of literature.
