Greenan Maze is situated in the midst of the Wicklow Mountains only an hour from South Dublin. Visitors will delight in a fun-filled day involving cultural education and heritage, nature and relaxation. This working hill farm includes two mazes, the full-sized Celtic hedge maze stands on half an acre and is a tricky puzzle to solve, while the solstice maze is a more gentle contemplative experience. Three museums present exhibits going back over 200 years of traditional farming life including a traditional farm-house museum, bottle museum and farm barn with horse drawn implements. The Wild Nature Walk leads to a raised wooden walkway around the dragon-fly ponds and meanders by the farm animals including bronze turkeys, hens and chicks, geese, ducks, pigs, sheep and lambs, horses, and two cheeky donkeys! Treasure hunts, Fairy Tree Trail and small playground are also available for children. The Irish cottage tea-rooms supplies home-baked goodies and light lunches while the craft-shop sells local arts and crafts and environmentally friendly products.
The museum and all other facilities are partially suitable for wheelchair users and the disabled. There is a coffee shop, coach and car parking, public toilets and retail outlet.
