Carrick-on-Shannon the cruising capital and an historic town, is home to the smallest chapel in Europe, so what better place to start. Ballinamore is an angler’s paradise with 40 lakes in a 10km radius and the oldest genealogical centre. The Lough Rynn estate in Mohill features 100 acres of rare woodland and exotic, walled, ornamental gardens. Dromod houses the Cavan and Leitrim Railway and museum. Jamestown, named after King James 1, was walled and fortified, one of the gates is still standing in the pretty village.

Route can be travelled in any direction and from any starting point. Map illustrations are intended as a guide only and routes should be travelled in conjunction with reference to a good road map of Ireland.
