Dingle Dolphin Boat Tours in County Kerry offer one hour boat trips to see Fungie, the Dingle Dolphin. Visitors can enjoy the antics of this amazing dolphin and also take in the breathtaking views of the cliffs and other sea life.
Dingle Dolphin Boat Tours have six fully licensed ferries which operate a one hour tour to the mouth of scenic Dingle harbour in County Kerry to meet the friendly bottlenosed dolphin called Fungie.
The Dingle dolphin has been in Dingle for over two and a half decades. Visitors do not pay for their tour until they have enjoyed seeing him. No dolphin, no charge guarantee. No holiday in Dingle would be complete without seeing its most famous resident.
The ferries have the capacity for large groups of up to 60 persons for different functions including private hire for weddings, hen parties, birthdays or any special occasion. A complimentary bottle of Champagne is included on these special occasions. They also cater for bus tours, school tours etc.
There are also early morning 2 hour trips, running from 8am-10am. They are the best way to get as close to Fungie as he will allow. This tour is undertaken in the peace and tranquility of early morning in Dingle Bay to ensure that Fungie has much less distractions from other boat traffic.
Tours must respect & fully understand that they are completely on Fungie’s terms. The trips don’t chase Fungie, but let him come to them, and this is an amazing way, and a privilege to get close to a wild dolphin.
You may decide to hire a wetsuit & try and get in the water if the opportunity arises or simply come along for the 2 hour boat ride on the new rib.
The trips also take in a tour of the cave & cliff area if the weather allows. This tour has a maximum of only 10 places each time, so booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
In the summer months an evening tour for private groups is on offer (weather permitting for a minimum of 6 persons).
This up close tour will take in the amazing sunset on Dingle Bay. A camera is a must.
